Ultracold Neutron Storage Simulation Using the Kassiopeia Software Package

Abstract The Kassiopeia software package was originally developed to simulate electromagnetic fields and charged particle trajectories for neutrino mass measurement experiments. Recent additions also allow it neutral in magnetic based on their moments. Two different methods were implemented: an exact method that can work arbitrary adiabatic is limited slowly-varying but much faster large precession frequencies. Additional interactions reflection of ultracold neutrons from material walls spin-flip pulses added. These tools used neutron a room temperature electric dipole moment experiment predict the values longitudinal transverse relaxation times as well trapping lifetime. All three parameters are found closely match experimentally determined when simulated with both methods, confirming able accurately particles. This opens door future uses prototype next generation atomic traps
